G'day all.........just got my first Harley, an 06 Softail with a few bits & pieces done to it, so I thought I'd join this excellent forum. I told the missus that I wouldn't tinker with it, but it's got 16" ape hangers that I want to change, so any ideas would be much appreciated.

Hi Mate and welcome.. Me and the misses like Geelong, we ride down there just about every weekend.

Keep the apes...well at least until you get pulled over. Keep them and buy new bars, at least if you want to put apes on at a later stage you will have them. Keep the cables as well.
