    Hi guys,

Having had the front of Deuce raked a few degrees, whilst re-building, I now want to change the for tubes to 4" overs......never done this before so was wondering if anyone can give me some advice?

Is it a simple procedure ? Can i go by the manual, or are there any "unforseen" things to look out for?

    Would appreciate any help

    Thanks

Have not done a duece, but should be the same, what did to pull a wide glide front end apart, was remove front wheel then undo allen head bolts at bottom of slider, remove sliders. but that was a shovelhead wide glide. latter model bit different but not hard, the hard part will be getting good quality fork tubes, they normally give you a 4" spacer to make up for the length of stock fork springs. can be tricky getting the fork tube end plugs in there thread under spring pressure, as you have to push down on the fork spring and get them into there thread. but not rocket science.

good luck, also have you ever road an old raked chopper the forks that long and raked that far they goose neck, & to top that off they were ridgid with butt wipper shifts and foot clutch.
