not rocket science at all, 2x 1/2 inch spanners, losen lock nuts and undo, less than 2 minutes ?????

I just took it of and Iused a 11mm and 1/2 inch. each end have a bolt with a ball in one end and swivel in the rod end and seems to be impossible to take off. Just waiting for a flame rod from Harley. I hope there is parts to fit the new rod.

Yes lastrain, you missed something. Have you looked at your bike? what you suggest is for adjust the length of the rod.
