Advice on bike tours in USA

    Looking for any info, advice, tips or bad experiences with organised Harley tours in USA? Anyone been on one of these? There are a few on the web; eg. ride from LA to Las Vegas via some desert scenery, or up the West Coast to San Francisco.  

    Pricey way to do it I know, but I like the idea of just turning up and riding all day, with accomodation, meals & entertainment aready organised for ya.

    I did 6 weeks and covered 20,000kms and 30 states last September my advise would be do your own thing rent a bike and just go unless you like going where they tell you, stopping when they stop and only seeing what they want you to see. This is only my take on it but then I'm just an unsocial able prick and don't like being told where i can and can't go

    Wife and I did a trip up there in May this year. We hired a bike for a week from http://www.eaglerider.com/Home.aspx  and they were great.

    We spent a week riding around the great smokey mountains and it really was the best time. Money well spent.

    They have a pretty good range of Harleys and Hondas.  Enjoy.
