Any others out there that have strectched or done a wide arse conversion to their Dyna. The bike pictured was an 03 FXD Superglide. These photos are a couple of years old and taken when I was living In Melbourne. The bike was fully engineered in Victoria but I have since moved to Cairns QLD rode the bike until VIC rego ran out and I have not got around to engineering it in Queensland yet. So I am using the drivetrain for my 70 shovel frame project. Once I finish mockup, I will put it back on the road again.
Mods are:
Frame raked to 36 Degrees, +3 Degrees in trees for Total 39 Degrees Rake
4" over aftermarket wideglide front end with dyna 19" Front wheel
4" added to Backbone
I hade the frame mods done by Bob Martin M/Cycle Engineering to simplify the engineering approval ( told me this was the first Dyna they ever Stretched)
250 Avon on 18x8.5 60 Spoke Rim
Zodiac 45mm primary offset kit
8" pullback V bars
I enjoy cutting and grinding so I built the following:
Swingarm using the rails from a factory Dyna swingam.
Stretched tank is a combination of Cut up FXD tank and aftermarket tank. 26L capacity
Rear Guard is a 3" widened FXD unit.
Well done Klaka she looks good.
