This Sunday is our local riding groups monthly ride so im looking forward to seeing how my 1200 conversion keeps up with the big twins.

Before the conversion i had to ride it very hard to get any where near them, well up to 120 klms anyway, after  that they were gone, so it will be a good test. It does ride and feel like a different bike, and now has something it never had before (power).

I will let you know how it goes,

                                                            cheers Bretho.

PS the riding group is known as the Boundary Riders. check out the web site www1.freewebs.com/boundaryriders/

I'll Be interested as well.  I got 54.5 on the dyno with my 883 after the S&S short shots and power commander were installed.

the results are in, the sportster and the big twins with minor mods are a dead heat from take off to 185 kph, not bad for a small bike.

WOW Bretho, At 140kmh the sporter snakes and shakes, at 160kmh it's unbearble and out of control..... and you took it to 185kmh......You must have balls of steel and no family!!!!

put her on the dyno, only 55hp at the back wheel but shit loads of torque, equivilant 0klm to 160 klms as v-rod and 1200 buel

primo bendigo HD said it will hose off most big twins as long as i change @  4200 rpm and get off the throttle @ 180 klms.

so this makes me question some of the huge hp graphs i have read about.

    cheers Bretho.
