Have been searching through this site for a week or so and i think i may have made a mistake in choosing the Screamin Eagle Stage ll kit for my bike ( which should be ready for pickup at my local dealer today/tomorrow )
SCREAMIN’ EAGLE STAGE II KIT – 103 CUBIC INCHES* ® PRO Kit includes Stage II (SE-255) cams, 3-7/8" Big Bore cylinders, 3-7/8" Big Bore flat top pistons a high performance clutch spring, and all mounting hardware and gaskets.
SCREAMIN’ EAGLE
STAGE II KIT – 103 CUBIC INCHES*
Kit includes Stage
II (SE-255) cams, 3-7/8" Big Bore cylinders, 3-7/8" Big Bore
flat top pistons a high performance clutch spring, and all
mounting hardware and gaskets.
.
Anyway my question is , What do i do next to this kit to improve on it ?
Saying that ,I have just laid down $2400 on this kit to be installed and already have the hi-flo air cleaner,Vance & Hines Sideshots and a Screamin Eagle Pro Super Tuner ( Which doesnt seem to popular either )
I was thinking maybe a throttle body change or my stock heads worked on
My bike is an 09 FXST With 3000 ks on it and i am 6ft 3in and 130kg so i thought this torquey cam would suite me. Anyway any info would be appreciated
OK, i had my first ride this morning on the way to work with the 103 . HOLLY SHIT It pulls like a train. My last bike was an 89 softail with a 96 cube s&s motor ,andrews cam, sideshots and a forcewinder and dynoed to perfection at Rick Heffernen Racing and i reckon this thing would take it (once it loosens up) Anyway ill see how quick i get bored of it and want something more. But all in all it seems to be a pretty descent combination.
Gonna do something similar 09 softy, I had the pleasure to ride with Ando last weekend and his bike sure pulls strong, it will no doubt be better when it loosens up.
I'm going with the stage two 103 SE 255 set up to start with and may change the cams and heads later.......
