Clutch cable oil leak

    Hi All.

My gearbox is leaking oil from where the clutch cable enters. It's not much, but it's getting the bike grubby. I've had a look at the manual, and it says there's an o-ring, which I assume is responsible for sealing the oil. Before I pull the cover off, is the o-ring part of the cable assembly, or a separate part?

    Thanks,

    Gonzo

    Hmmm.

    I've got the o-ring now.

It seems that I've got to

    a) drain the tranny oil

    b) remove the exhausts

    to replace the o-ring.

What a pain in the arse!

THAT'S what I wanted to hear!. Thanks Scotty.

I guess the new design (09) rear cylinder header would avoid the problem of the clutch cover...

Anyway, I won't get a chance to try it until the weekend.
