Hi guys seeking your views. Want a new Road King - the classic is a little expensive so will just get the standard Road King. What do you think of it? Would you get the 2009 or wait for the 2010? Love the look of the V&H monster ovals - what do they cost? And does one have to do the air cleaner and remapping as well? $ are an issue. What would you recommend? Many thanks in advance for any suggestions. Was in this morning at Harley Heaven Adelaide not sure which way to go.

Hi Shed - just wondering which 2010 model did u go for? Im waiting til HarleyHeaven Adelaide get some 2010 stock in to see them - Im told this will be early October - im favouring the RoadKing FLHR - Classic is a bit too expensive for me. Well they are all a bit too expensive for me but..... lol Thinking of leaving it basically standard with just chrome passenger footrest cover and chrome handle grips with V&H monster oval slipons. Any opinions would be appreciated.

And to add a bit of cream, the 2010 FLHX is $1K cheaper than the 09 model  Don't know about the Road King pricing, but there is a Steet Glide out there with my name on it.

Thanks for all the info boys - I did get to see Loftys two new bikes - magnificent - good taste that Lofty!
I went into Harley Heaven Adelaide again yesterday - they must be getting sick of seeing me but they always have time for a chat and to assist me - Im very impressed with their service - Ive decided to wait to see the 2010 RoadKing before I buy - they said the bikes should be arriving later next month or around October 1 and will ring me when they get them. Hopefully joining you boys on the road in October. Fancy the FLHR Black with passenger backrest and luggage rack and Monster ovals with black tips and some bling. Should look good.

My thinking was that adding a batwing fairing to a Road King is a whole lot easier than taking it off the Electra Glide series bikes and you have the screen either way.

    cheers

just a thort but if 09's are only made for less than a year then wouldnt that make them more exclusive ? and therefore more valuable ??just a thort .

can anyone confirm the diff betrween the 09' and 10s bikes here in Aust as far as emissions control equip?     Do they both have the same catalytic converters in the head pipes etc??  I believe the US spec bikes (non-calif model)  only just got cats in the headers for 2010 (ie not on previous models)??

If thats the case for bikes here as well, then I'd prefer an 09 over a '10....
