    Went to change over front pads for better ones..10mm 12 sided to remove calliper but what is

    the size for the retainers 5 ?or 6mm? 12 sided socket????? or is it a special Harley tool........

    I thought Harley was all imperial but it is not.....

    Size is Quarter  sae or American 12 hex inside i use a 3/8 tube socket from repco.Charlie

    Daggs...got one from Repco this morning...cost $13 Repco open end spanner ....just have to grind

    down the ring end so it fits properly...easy job then....I tried everywhere in the Mount today....Fuck I am

    sick of this shit weather down here.........hurry up summer.

    did you try gasweld or gt industrial? if not I'll give them a go, I stopped in at repco on my way to footy sunday and they can order in a socket $6
    yeah this weather sucks but good time to do some jobs on the bike at least....

    FYI - I bought a 12 point 1/4" socket, 1/4" drive, for $4.50 from gasweld last night.

    It was one of those Saturday night Sunday morning jobs and Repco was the only shop open

    then , but for the sake of $4.50 I will get a socket from Gaswell........thanks Daggs for the info.
