The baffles are easily removed and the holes can be opened up or added to or the crushed end opened up to allow a little more sound out while maintianing back pressure. However, it is far easier to make them noiser than quiet again

    cheers

if you mean scr eagle 3 slash cut, then the 2 screws (tamper proof torx) near the end do retain the baffle
I would not describe the removal process as "easy" but certainly possible (fair amount of banging required with a decent drift)
    the baffles are fibreglass lagged
removing that packing gives much better flow and a slightly stronger exhaust note
this process is, of course, totally reversible

Dunno what the dealer did to the SE muffs (i asked them to make em louder) when i bought my 09 softy but they are certainly louder and sound better than the old SE's on my last bike.

Mate, I've just removed the fibreglass padding from my SE's (06 Superglide). There's a shitload of it wrapped around the baffle in each one, the way the gas is routed through all that crap its a wonder the friggin exhaust worked at all....anyway they are definitely a bit louder now, but not over the top.
