    surprised they are stoping making sportys for the year, they seem to be one of the bigger sellers

    Yeah, VRod I can understand, but Sportsters is odd, you'd imagine because of price they would be a big seller.  Then again it may just be that the Moco doesn't make enough profit out of Sportsters....

    My first Harley was a Sporty, How often it was called the a skirtster, I called it my piglet, just not a full grown hog

    The reality is that a lot of businesses are having to do this to survive, no one likes layoffs but if it helps the company survive and hopefully make a turn around in future then it has to be done.

    With their relatively weak US dollar they need any export sales they can get. Ironc for an administration that loves to face no tariff barriers, but stacks them on in an instant at home, especially with the new jive-talking prez in da house.

    The worst thing is that Harley produces in areas of the US that really don't need to lose employment that HD provides.
