Can anyone please tell me how to run a self diagnostic through the speedo of an 09 Softail. Thanks for any info.

Thanks Scotty, i just did what you said and got the selection menu to come up, mine reads PSSP then an upside down F then 6. I know the P is ECM, S = Turn Signal/Turn Signal Security Module SP= Speedometer, these three read NONE which I assume means NO FAULT. I dont know what the last two are but they read "No Rsp" so I dont know what they are. I pulled a bulb out of the left blinker and thought that it might throw a fault code but it didn't, so how can I test to see if the diagnostic features are working ??

If i could afford it i would consider it, maybe later ? Are you saying that if there is a problem with the bike that when i do run the self diagnostic the codes won't show up ????

Ok got it, I knew that you could read the factory ECM but i wasn't sure if the speedo self diagnoses was seperate to it and just a simpler but not as efficient way of checking. This is why i like carbys. So does this mean the error codes are different for the Tmax or do they use the original codes ??
