Ok everyone my new Anniversary Softail Custom arrives soon  and I need to cover it when its garaged. As you know theres a lot of covers out there and cheap, but they need to be special to cover our bikes. Whats the best around for size (mini apes and sissy bar) and it goes without saying - Scratch proof

I have heard about Rjays XL..................has anyone got this type?

    Cheers

Thanks Bano for that. I think they are about $90 for the XL. Money well spent for a legend of the road. Cheers Mick

Thanks Bano..........I have priced the HD Dealership and as always they are dearer and a different brand at $124................another M/C Shop with Kwakas in it (I didnt touch any just in case I catch something!  ;) had the RJays at 95 bucks XL..........so not bad.

By the way what sought of pipes do u have on your ride? The HD Dealer says put on a pair of SE Slip Ons will make it louder than the stocks. I dont want it too loud to attract attention (cops) but I do want he Harley rumble. Any advice would be apprec. Cheers Mick

sorry to butt in but a set of Rush slip ons from morgan and whacker does the job for me. got the choice of baffle size as well depending on how loud you want the rumble.

Thanks FLSTC. What would u say is not too loud and not too scooterish? Baffle Size? and how much mate? Like I said just the Harley rumble will do me. I'm from West OZ but I'm sure my dealer can get them in and fit them when the bike arrives. No mods required with them? Cheers Mick

price ? cannot recall - a call to Morgan and Whacker will tell you.
I have the 1.75 inch - pretty much the "std" baffle. seems from all the reports that most are happy with the 1.75's. If you are sound conscious then a quieter baffle - 1.5 inch - should do the trick. Either of these will be able to be fitted on a 07/08 without worrying about tuning . go up to a 2 inch baffle or bigger will need tuning. The baffle themselves are easily interchangeable with bigger/smaller baffles. had mine now for 6 months and done 10k , bike stays outdoors mainly ( under a tarp ) and chrome on pipes still as good as when I got them - unfortunately cannot say the same for the original chrome on the bike.

    Hi SShmick.

I ride 08 Custom and just recently put on a "S&S" slash slip ons. Absolutely love them.

Before you decide on the pipes read some of the treads on this forum. You've got to be sure what you want, there is no point to put something on (and pay for it) and then to find out later that you like something else.

I waited for 3 months, read the treads/magazines/other HD sites before installing the pipes, SERT and the SE Air Filter. Now I've got what I like. Love the pipes, love the sound, gained about 10% of torque and power.

Go to my tread "Softail mods" and have a look at the pics there.

    Happy riding mate
