Glad you made it home safe Trev, 22 hrs, obviously didn't get lost along the way, must be getting better or was it the Tom-Tom that helped out, i am from up that way originally and haven't had the opportunity to go across the new Gordonvale Bridge yet, one day, did see it when they were building it though, see you Sunday.

22hours in 1 go doesn't sound like fun. I'm riding from Townsville down to Brisvegas and back in mid Sept, taking 2 weeks. Hopefully a much more cruisy trip than yours. I'm open to suggestions on roads or places to see on the way as I'm new to Queensland.

I thought a responsible rider, driver like yourself would toe the line and only drive four hours then have a rest etc.

It takes me about twenty hours to drive from Mount Isa to Caloundra, but that is over two days. 14 hours the first day and 6 hours the next.

I don't see the point in doining it in one go, you don't end up saving a day, cause the next day your fuqqed anyway. Unless you have some sort of schedule to keep.

Looks like I'll be stopping for some sexiecoffie [ as long as its the girl serving looking as good as that]. Just got back from a ride to Cairns area for 4 days. What a buzz. I should be in Brissy from 10th to 13th Sept so if I can catch up with anyone down there that would be a plus. I have a cousin around Strathpine [ poor guy rides a Bmw] so that will be my base for a day or so. Ta for the tips on stops.

Thanks for posting the coffe place up Enforcer......not that I get up that way......well..I'm slowly building up to it....11 years in Bris-Vegas...just moved to Caboolture.....the way I see it I should be sippin a cup by ..Oh I don't know...2045!!
