Blue's Rally 2009 is on again

To be held at Cooyar Hotel 25,26& 27th September 2009

 

Another good rally.  Great music and usually packed out. 

Just past Yarraman which is just past Blackbutt which is just up the road from Esk. Nice ride if you just want to do a day trip.

I usually go up for this weekend. Awesome weekend of camping with good entertainment on the Saturday night. Run by one of the Ulysses chapters... so usually a big roll up of folks.
I'll have to check the calendar for this year. The date seems to keep creeping forward.
Jilli, you've been through Cooyar before.... we did it on a run, that I think Peter led, from Caboolture through Kilcoy to Yarraman where we stopped at a pub, then went onto Crow's Nest to the pub for lunch (they were having some sorta celebration) then down to Esk.
Cooyar was a blink and miss it town between Yarraman and Crow's Nest. Great pub! Here's a pic of the pub the rally is held out back of...

No tickets needed, just roll up. Just a suggestion, if you are camping, get there early. Last year, quite a few riders ended up camping near the memorial and off the side of the road.

SportyTrace and I will be there for the Saturday night. Stopping in at a mates in Blackbutt (yeah where is that!!!) Friday night. Is a good weekend, Wolverines were really good 2 years ago. Great how the local boys allow breath testing sunday morning (for a donation) before ride out, saved quite a few over the years...

I'll be there. This is one of those "not to be missed" weekends. Going up with a few boys on Friday to set up camp and get into the groove. Probably do a ride Saturday morning and get back for the afternoon/night festivities.

Don't forget about the Bellmere bash. If ya get a chance, come along for a while..........

I'll keep an eye out for you Flan, I will probably be in the pub helping the barmaid empty the fridge.

looks like i'm going out Saturday for a bit of a looksee, hopefully i'll catchup with a few other forum members, they shouldn't be to hard to spot, wearing black, beards or moes, riding a harley, easy!!!!

Jilli, It doesn't look like we are heading out now overnight either, and if we go up for the run on Saturday we'd head up through Blacksoil and Esk so will miss you at Caboolture. Even though this weekend plans are all over the shop, I'd be up for a good day run on Sunday if anyone else is interested; I have no destination in mind, just want to ride.

I'm out for the next 2 weekends with Theatre performances but keen to go somewhere once it's finished.

Ended up being a great weekend. Sorry you didn't make it Flan, kept an eye out for you but when I hadn't seen you by nightfall, figured you would not be there. Ended up pulling up stakes late Saturday and headed off to Maidenwell pub for the night. Spud and Wendy who used to run the Cooyar Pub are now running this one and are great hosts. When/if I find my camera, will put up some photo's.
