I have just heard tonight that Frasers Perth are closing as at 31 July 2009 due to finacial problems.  Now I don't know how true this is, but the source I got it from had a relation put of from there and claims that's what he was told when he enquired why he was being put off.

look on the bright side ...maybe some discounted parts ...a fire sale ...but more than likely all stock just be moved to another store/franchise

again ..feel sorry for staff when management cant get their shit together

I can't say that I'm surprised. Customer Service isn't a high priority, not just Frasers, but many bike shops could learn the term.

Agree Ho but I have been dealing with Frasers for 17 years. But the last 2 years or so have gone interstate for new bikes because of the deal and service and availability of the model of bike I required. The staff (some) have been great and I hope they can continue in the industry.

Just spoke to Fraser's today and as you would expect they denied the allegation and said the only time they are closing their doors is for the planned renovations, but that could be up to 2 years away.

Maybe it was sour grapes on behalf of the person who got out off.

I was there today to get a brake light globe ($3.30 bloody ripped of) and they seemed to be doing a lot of bussiness.  They have about 6 fatboys on the floor not sold, roadking and couple of ea of Flht and FLHX and a Ultra.

I have had dealings with Frasers Newcastle, Sydney and Wollongong. They are a big business.!! You won't find the warm fuzzy customer service feeling with these guys!! I wanted to buy a V Rod Night Rod, beautiful bike 1 owner, yada yada, from them. Did'nt like the mid controls, they were not remotely interested in trying to accomodate me. Conversely, when I wanted to test ride a Softail Deluxe from the Sydney shop, they were great. No worries, take her as long as you want. (As long as their rep was riding with me). I did'nt buy that bike either. I bought a similar bike privately for $5000 cheaper, with all the upgrades. Pipes filter etc. I have had my bike serviced by them and they were very expensive. I also rang a couple of times to get more work done, (pinch bolt), it took about four phone calls, to get through, and they were $150 dearer than Blacktown Harley. The Wollongong shop, (I work in Port Kembla), are generally accomodating, happy to order parts and give me a HOG discount even though I am not a member.
Experience is expensive!!!!! I do my own services now!!!!

    Perth Frasers:
I have always found Kev and his boys in the workshop to be very helpful and I am more then happy with their service. My wife got her bike from there and Nathan and staff were very helpful. She ordered her bike and then spent another 6 months making it a woman's bike. She ordered her own bike and did not feel pressured to part with her money. On a FIFO roster it is more convenient to use Frasers for all servicing as I drop it off on the way to the airport and pick it up when I fly in giving me more time to enjoy riding with the wife on my 3 days off. Regards Cuzzybro.

Well I don't know if the're changing hands, goin out of business or what, I can only rate them from my personal experience.

When I walked into the shop the first time looking to buy a new bike I had to convince them I was not a tyre kicker, I can imagine they get a lot of them, but any salesperson with half

a clue should be able to sort the wheat from the chaff pretty quickly, if he/she can't then they won't be in the business for long.

I perservered, laid down the deposit and ended up with the bike I wanted, was treated pretty good upon delivery, now I'll see what the aftersales service is like.

When they shut the Bathurst store ,the Big boss walked in and told the staff they had two weeks ,move to Sydney or another store or fuck off. No sale, they just trucked everything to the other branches. So if frazer is gonna shut Perth it won't take long!

Im baffled why Perth hasnt got a 2nd Harley dealer, Frasers desperately need some local competition to teach them about customer service and to stop them offering such rip off deals to people who want to buy or trade with them.
Ill be looking to Bunbury for my next upgrade.

Frasers Perth closing is just a rumor, like people keep telling me "its better than nothing"

HD Dealers, Harvey Norman, Good guys yada yada, my opinion.....there are good and bad stores/dealers.

I have had a bad experience with my local dealer but don't hold a grudge, build a bridge and move on we are not all perfect and learn as we grow.

Like gmeikle said they need us and we need them...without that we will not have our pride and joy.

    just my 2 bobs worth
