I have just heard tonight that Frasers Perth are closing as at 31 July 2009 due to finacial problems. Now I don't know how true this is, but the source I got it from had a relation put of from there and claims that's what he was told when he enquired why he was being put off.
Well it would have to be because of poor management surely
I can't say that I'm surprised. Customer Service isn't a high priority, not just Frasers, but many bike shops could learn the term.
It's a shame They have Great looking Shop, I droped in here 5 years ago and was very impresed, But I get alot of Guys from WA ringing me to get stuff for there Bikes and the first 10 min's of their phone call is them complaning about Frasers
like them or hate them.... the point is that if this is true then Perth is loosing a dealer and that is not good
Agree Ho but I have been dealing with Frasers for 17 years. But the last 2 years or so have gone interstate for new bikes because of the deal and service and availability of the model of bike I required. The staff (some) have been great and I hope they can continue in the industry.
Just spoke to Fraser's today and as you would expect they denied the allegation and said the only time they are closing their doors is for the planned renovations, but that could be up to 2 years away.
Maybe it was sour grapes on behalf of the person who got out off.
I was there today to get a brake light globe ($3.30 bloody ripped of) and they seemed to be doing a lot of bussiness. They have about 6 fatboys on the floor not sold, roadking and couple of ea of Flht and FLHX and a Ultra.
Well I don't know if the're changing hands, goin out of business or what, I can only rate them from my personal experience.
When I walked into the shop the first time looking to buy a new bike I had to convince them I was not a tyre kicker, I can imagine they get a lot of them, but any salesperson with half
a clue should be able to sort the wheat from the chaff pretty quickly, if he/she can't then they won't be in the business for long.
I perservered, laid down the deposit and ended up with the bike I wanted, was treated pretty good upon delivery, now I'll see what the aftersales service is like.
HD Dealers, Harvey Norman, Good guys yada yada, my opinion.....there are good and bad stores/dealers. I have had a bad experience with my local dealer but don't hold a grudge, build a bridge and move on we are not all perfect and learn as we grow. Like gmeikle said they need us and we need them...without that we will not have our pride and joy. just my 2 bobs worth
