HEY GUYS HAS ANYONE DONE A TRIKE CONVO FROM CHAMPION ?? AND IF SO HOW MUCH WAS IT ?

The wife did a trike conversion on her bike. (2008 Dyna Lowrider)

Eagle Trikes down the Gold Coast did it using a Motortike kit. she's really happy with it, it's good looking thing and very user friendly.

She did fit a set of 5 degree triple trees (wideglide) during the build, this makes the steering nice and light for her and of course, it looks good with the wheel kicked out a littel bit.

The conversion was $21,000, thats imported, painted, fitted, complied and ready to ride home.

Just add the cost of the triple trees at a $1,000 and then the cost of the doner bike.

The ol girl went out and bought the Lowrider brand new, so at $29,000 for the bike plus the bits, it worked out to $51,000 all up.

These are a very good kit too, still uses the original belt drive etc.

Mate, the wife just loves the thing and once you get use to the fact you actually have to steer it through a corner, you really throw them around.

I love the look of it, looks tough ...not too bad a price me thinks ..had any issues since it was done

It sounds tuff too, with a nice pair of slip-ons tucked under the bag, it has a deep growl to it.

The only issue the wifes had, was the air bags in the back were leaking.

I rang eagle Trikes, he just said get down here (Gold Coast) and he replaced both bags in about an hour.

He even gave us the old ones, just in case on a trip we should damage one, a bag that takes 36 hours to go down, is better than a bag with something through it.

I just re-read the bit above, i can just see that is gunna haunt me.

Does anyone know if or who is selling Ding Bobs conversion kits anymore. I own the red Fatboy he had on his site but want to do two more if i can get the kits.

i looked at the states and like the look of mystery designs kit just not sure on the width.

been in the trike world going on 8 months now and have tryed a few
when i see an add for one up for sale i turn up and take for ride around block to get the feel
from gold wing and harley and a couple others the vee dub kick arse in handling
and from what hear ding bobs kits where shit have heard a few horra storys
and since when has a trike surpose to look like a bike if you notice it got 3 wheels not 2
