99.9% the reason the show is cancelled is because of the COPS. It's the same BS as why the "Bankstown Bike Show" in SYDNEY was cancelled, too many bikers, not enough cops to patrol. The cops say it will cost too much money to provide security (in nicer terms). Truth prob is, they don't have enough intel, and can't arrest everyone...as you know they hate bike riders of all kinds.

ONCE AGAIN, your freedom of choice to riding a bike is being taken away. this is it people, THE NEW WORLD ORDER is kicking in. We are now SHEEPLE to the system. F.R.E.E AUSTRALIA, needs to do more than just talk, I say round up every bike rider and pay a visit to CANBERRA. We'd defin out number the cops. MOTORCYCLING IS NOT A FUC%ING CRIME DAMN IT.

I don't hate bikers...I am a Biker, esp with more than a few bikes. It bag the idiots only. As for the cops being the messengers, what do you want to do, fight the messengers and teach the government a lesson, or go straight to the top and show them not to mess with the majority. You

    MR ENFORCER

I don't hate bikers...I am a Biker, esp with more than a few bikes. It bag the idiots only. As for the cops being the messengers, what do you want to do, fight the messengers and teach the government a lesson, or go straight to the top and show them not without the violence. I guarantee you I would be in the very front line to fight for my right...Whilst you'd probably choose to sit back and hope it goes away. If you don't understand the message that's coming across in my comments, then don't reply.

Now I'm prob gonna sound like I'm "Bikie" bashing, but I'm not...now a lot of people voice there opinions here, but how many would actually get out there and do something. Let me tell you something. I have been arrested 4 times and been issued with 9 public nuisance fines (they can't find anything else to book me for my bikes) I now have a criminal record, for fighting in what I believe...MY FREEDOM to ride. When I get stopped by the "MESSENGERS" I voice my legal rights and then challenge it in court. This is now a waste of time. You need to go to the TOP.

So you may want to tone down my feelings towards bikers..Notice I said BIKERS. As for BIKIES, that's another story. But If you want me to whinge, here you go. Don't sell drugs and commit crime, and then do a children's charity run and try and make society think your really kind and generous so society forgets all the other bad shit you do. NOW I know not all BIKERS are like that, I'm sure most are honest, but it's the bad ones that screw it up for all of us. And if you can't accept that then, try another hobby.

I don't normally get involved in these kinds of forums, but what I read about Skidz is sort of right, but also a bit to the left. The police shut down bike events for political reasons, without taking into consideration that it's not just "Clubs" that attend only. My business, selling bike DVD's, rely on the shows, just like part manufacturers and shops it also puts money in the community, creating work etc. This is one point they just don't care about, and I have personally questioned the right people about this and the response I can't type unfortunately without starting a war. And the cost to them to man the event is quite petty as well.

I'm current working on a new documentary film, no I'm not trying to plug it, lol, but it's about they way culture and law is changing in the motorcycling community. Now the thing I have found to be interesting is that, there are people like Skidz who are willing to get in front of the camera and voice opinions, but then there are people who have an opinion, but are too scared to talk in front of a camera for fear of being targeted. But whilst there are great organisations like F.R.E.E Australia, to give insight to the public, the truth you can start a political party on one topic, but what really are your chances of getting a seat in the lower or upper house, especially when your just about FREEDOM.

Now, protesting 9/10 times does nothing, unless you can get it to be done on a major scale. Now whilst F.R.E.E Australia is helping the bike community they're also helping the general public get an understanding about the laws and how they effect us. But the power is to the people. Now Skidz valid point is to to just go to the top. But it must be done correctly. He may have a lot to whinge about but he isn't anti biker for sure. The whole New World Order thing doesn't belong here, that's a whole different topic, but if we bow down to the police and government then we are screwed.

On a final note, I've been threatened to be arrested by the FEDS when I visited Canberra when doing the "The Inspire DVD" but didn't really care. I have had my video tapes seized, I didn't really care, I have been threatened about doing this new doco film, but I don't really care, because the truth needs to be told and whilst people are hating cops or bikers or whatever, they need to have a valid point about.

Now I'm no big fan of the Law Enforcement, and I'm not affraid to voice it, however we need to stand together and not shoot each other down. Should I have worded that a bit better?

couple of points here, wintersun is still on,this subject comes up every year, a few shopkeepers in the area complained because the cars and crowds stop access to their shops, although they make a small fortune out of it they want a bigger fortune and if they cant have it they will try to stuff it up for others. bike week was cancelled because the police told the organizers that there had to be police"specials" on site at a cost of approx 80grand not including overtime etc.all of which is to be paid by the organizers. the security company also increased its rate for private security. there has never been any trouble at bike week, but the police insist on increasing security. they also said that they would invite the transport dept and do full checks on ALL bikes entering and leaving the site. the police have achieved the outcome they wanted in causing the postponement of the event. as far as the Daniel Morcombe ride goes, the police told the organisers they would not allow the event to go ahead if any patch club members rode on the ride. it was done by the police NOT the organisers.many will have noticed lately here in qld there has been a sharp increase in the reporting of :bikie related crime, namely a shooting on the GC ,which turned out to have no connection whatso ever to clubs, though there was no retraction printed, a murder here in bris was reported as bikie related, this turned out to be a family conflict with no club connection, again no retraction, all of these reports go to the media direct from the police media unit. the police do have an agenda whether the public see it or not,it is a fact. if they dont why do they pull up all bikes instead of just patch wearing members? the other issue is terminology, they are bike CLUBS,not gangs. people show there ignorance and predjudices calling them gangs,it shows they believe all the crap the police and media spin, and accept it as gospel without understanding the fact that there are 3 sides to every story, your side,my side and the truth. wether you like it or not we are all getting tarred with the same brush, bikie or not, thanks to police and media propaganda. you can either live with it or do something about it.
