Hi Guys,

I am thinking of raising my 08 Sportster handle bars up a bit to sit more upright due to a crook back.

I have already rotated them back a bit so far.

I dont want to change the bars,cables or brake hose or extend wires at present.

I have unbolted the bars from headstem mounting point and can raise them up about 35mm without stretching the wires and brake hose too much.

I can make up some alloy spacers to remount them higher.

Just wondering if any body knows if there is extra length of wires tucked away under the fuel tank so i can gain a bit more wire length.

Some of you have played with Mini Ape Hangers, how did you go with the full installation and where did you get the extra length of wire from ?

I remember when I took my bars off to install a chrome top handlebar clamp I managed to stretch the wiring loom out about 5cm higher. I was experimenting to see if I could install some pullback 2.5" lower risers, which would bring the bars back.

the missus 07 sporty i put 4" pullback risers with no other problems
