Geez Trev you must have a real aversion to cold weather, you keep bringing it up, its really not that cold mate.
I used to ride from Kingaroy to Toowoomba at 4.30 am every Monday Morning for 7 weeks a year every year for four years in winter to attend TAFE college, never did me no harm and I didn't even have thermals back then.
    I like the cooler weather.

wanna stay warm put on RJAYS neck warmer hooded jumper and thermal underwear ..

then put on normal rideing gear jeans jacket .....

oh also dont wear leather chaps ..... two reasons one is that if they are not lined the leather gets cold and stays cold thus transfering the cold to you

two they look like something that should be warn in the sydney GAY AND LESBIAN mardi gras

Have I got this right, the other day I was riding home and it was pissing down with rain and blowing a strong gale, when I got home I looked up the temp and the BOM stated that the temp was 8.6c (AT 1.0) and I was travelling at 80-90Kph so does that make the combined wind chill factor -17+ ?????

Was comming home from work the other morning and it was -4...of course i was in the ute with the heater on, and i saw this clown riding to my work on his BMW. Fark that, i will stick to the ute on days like that...tufn up i hear you say, my old fella is small enough without causing mayor shinkage due to the cold.   Hey RT what is the new bridge like at Gordonvale? i left before i saw it finished but it was looking good.

Many moons ago when I lived in Singleton, Hunter valley, I rode to work in Newcastle when it was -2.

Was pretty well rugged up except for the moto-x gloves I had on. By the time I got to Maitland the bike kept slowing down and I thought I had a problem. After I stopped to check what the problem was I discovered that my hands were numb and the throttle grip was slipping under my hand as I had no feeling. I rapped my hands around the head of the bike (with the gloves on) to warm my hands back up. That would go down as one of the most painful experiences I've had when the feeling was returning to my hands. Didn't do that again!! As they say ....lesson learnt

oh and I went for a ride today. A balmy 30c.

you can rugg up for the cold ,thermals ,neck warmers, lined waterproof pants etc .leather is useless in winter the synthetic jackets and pants heaps warmer .you might look like a bmw rider being warm is the key .i hate moss on roads and other slippery shit like bark and rainin hard u cant see ...come back summer

I reckon that you are all just a bunch of whining girls.............sais i, as i turn my heated grips to medium....!  hehehe.......!     well don't blame me though.......they were on the bike when i bought it.....only drawback with them is.......my mates love screwing them to high in the middle of summer...by the time i find out its too late...they hold the f....n heat for ages when your hands are on em..
