Just got back from the RBH, on friday I was taking my T140 bonny for a test ride after some major work and 1block from home the rear chain snapped, locked the rear wheel and spat me off.
I've got bruises all over and 5 fractured ribs (I collected the handlebars on the way over the bike). The main thing that's pissing me off is that after all the work I put into the bike, the Insurance mob will most likely write it off as the chain cracked the main cases.
Just to show you how Qld hospitals work, I was put in a 4 bed ward overnight, they put one bloke accross from me who'd just attempted suicide, he then got moved and they put his 80year old bloke with dementia next to me who proceeded to go off his nut for the rest of the night. Got no sleep, sore and cranky and the bloody doc had the gall to say he wanted to keep me another night. I told him what happened, said stick it and went home.
brother not good...but you are alive to ride another day and that is all that counts
damn bad news man, heal fast.........................
Bad luck....chains have a habit of coiling up around the front sproket, then something has
to give,,,shame about all the work and only one ride,,,,,,.............broken ribs
suck when you sneaze and laugh.....hope insurance co come good...........heal fast....
Sorry to here about that, but at least it didn't put you in the ground. Try not to sneeze.
I feel your pain mate, went for a slide the other day myself & fractured a few ribs. Hurts to even breath let alone anything else. Good luck with it mate & sorry to hear about the bike.
