I've only had my Harley since November and am still getting used to it.  I got my bike licence in October. I'm a mature aged rider.  Better late than never.  I call her 'the beautiful one",  Harley Hertigage Classic Softail 04 model.  Would love to hear from anyone who has the same bike and any tips they may have for a new rider. Hope to see some of you riding around the Gong.

    welcome woman rider

how about putting a pic of you and the bike up ..whereabouts in the gong are you ..who do you ride with currently??

how do you find such a big bike given you have had your licence for such a short period of time ???... I am sure some of the gong boys have come across you, it is really a small town

looking forward to seeing pics....nothing to be afraid of I am sure

    Welcome

A Heritage big ride for first bike. How many K's on the clock what ya pick it up for, looking for a new bike for the missus and depending on your size etc compared to her would be interesting to see, my missus aint that tall so she might have probs with a bigger bike.

Where in Gong you based not a far trip for me happy to teach you how to throw the heritage around.

Thanks for the nice welcome from all, especially from Roka and Dyna and the Wollongong members.  I recommend the bike to any ladies/guys that like that style bike, heaps of bling too. Yes its heavy, but its really smooth and comfortable to ride, and not high up, good height for me at  5'8". My partners has patiently taught me to ride it. I'm still getting used to it though, so if you see a nervous looking person on a Heritage around the Gong, that'll be me. I did have a go on my partners 1200 Sportster once and found it harder to ride. The Sportster was not as smooth and sits higher, but is faster - goes to show, bigger is not always better/faster or harder to ride.

    Cheers

    WR
