Seeing that the Hyden ride was such a resounding success.....for some....
I propose a ride to Hopetoun at a date to be determined, with the weather in mind, in the next month or so.....
Mal Grand of the Port Hotel is doing it tough due to BHP pulling out of Ravensthorpe......He is an avid Harley rider as well...and he's offering cheap room rates....
This ride will not be for the faint hearted.....It can get quite cold and wet down there.....arn't Harley riders supposed to be tough!!!
This is the put up or shut up ride to end them all
Bt
I'm in had lottsa practise over the weekend........................................bring on the cold and wet..........
Mainey, Johno thanks for the support.......
As for the SHED men (loose term) your diatribe is to be expected and I'm sure that ya will no doubt contribute plenty of drivel to make this thread as succesfull as the Hyden one.....
Bluey......Ya gotta be carefull of the sharp pickets when sitting on the fence mate!!!
Watch this space for more action
just 12 pages to go...................................................
After seeing the state of a certain Gnome Dyna today I think the head gnome better book his other bike for this ride
whoa..................the blades are out already.............................
I will go back there with ya BT.
In pending a date to confirm it.
cheers Surly
BT When ya come up with a date I will let ya know, got some family commitments coming up and also the border run starting at the end of Jul.
Hopetoun Ride.....Cancelled for now.....
Later in the year......3 day ride!!
Through the wheat belt.....Time TB decided....
Bobtail
Dazza?? subject to having a bike and his missus letting him out to play..
FYO?? put his name up cos if I don't he will sulk....

The ride date is going to be subject to weather conditions to some degree, I draw the line at snow and sleet......
I wont be able to go on the ride......... I am really worried about my bike?
I hope the rain doesn't rust the electrics and get in the frame and rust it inside out. I wish I had of put gladwrap on all the handlebar switches. Shit now I am really worried. My tail light was full of water and I think its tuning into a fishes arsehole now FYO has drained it for me.
There are fuggin scales forming on the tank. and a sea slug (Big it is too!) on my seat.......... WHAT NEXT!
At the moment FrYOhh is my best budy....cos he's taking my wheel in to SWHD tommorow to get a new tyre fitted, aannndd he's paying for it....
But as far as that mushroom munching Gnome is concerned he better be ducking when the knives realy start flying......Best to travelling north hey?? where might I ask??.....Broome....Darwin.....Timor...Surely not Geraldton!!!....that's that windy tree bending getting bashed in the head capital of Australia....and not much warmer then the south coast.....
PS Jam.....Harley in US of A dip thier bikes in a tank of water.....if they leak they send them over here mate...if your lucky every now and then ya get a good one!!
The centre of the universe riding commitee will deliberate on that request though.......
If ya gonna go north it will be no different from going south or east at this time of the year, friggen cold and rain no matter where you go!!!!!!!
Some people should just stay in their shed all winter.
flick the page............................yawwwwwn.........................
Ha good to see that the Hopetoun thing is still alive and active.....
Trinket, the main reason for the ride is to lend some support to Mal Grant from the Port Pub, it's also a bit of a challenge......like Hyden, except that me tyre will be in better nick.....I have relatives living in Springdale rd as well....Didn't see them last time we were there, they may be too busy on farm now as well......As the planner states the weather will be a deciding factor.....
Hiya shed dwelling Sir Gnomeness......
Me knives are sharp as, and me nuts are as hard as rock mate...Only trying to keep the peeps happy and not scare them too much, as this ride is sort of like the Southern ride we did a few months ago I may also look at staying an extra day, will see what the stayers say...
I'm a bit worried about you though, methinks the bikes in ya shed are turning into display pieces, not ridden just hidden!!!
MMM that sound like shit mate.....it will no doubt be something quite simple starring ya in the face......
If not fixed by this weekend I'll come over with me big hammer
