a fellow on a night rod and me ( on my cbr600 ) ended up having a bit  of a race through light traffic.  I must say that he impressed me .. personally never rode a night rod , but this fellow was giving me a run .  i think i will nip on down to a dealer for a fang shortly .. think i might be missing out on something

 

well i was impressed ... not sure the motorists were though ...  been a long time since i have  had a fair dinkum race through traffic ... was it fun !

I thought the night rod was a great ride on the highway but in town, It had to pull it over for leaning around corners. like the back tire was too wide.
Does your dealer have a "muscle" you can have a squirt on, I found it went like stink and could turn a corner with no effort,

I do want to say this is only my opinion. if nothing else, you get a ride on another bike.

I rode a mates nightrod and I just kept looking at the radiator and wondering what it was doing on a Harley ?? The motor was strong but it didn't go around corners at all.

When looking for another Power cruiser, I took the Night Rod out for a blast. Love the look, the power is good, but the bike is just too small for someone 6'+. It is definatley over tyred on the rear, you have to heave it over around town, but it works better at speed.

Settled on the Rocket 111, just have to blacken it up a bit more.

I had one too, great bike but my Z1000 is even more fun, Yipee. It's not too late to buy another one Dave, you probably have two or three good years left inya.

Dave a mate was lookin at getting a harley and had a firestorm at the time so i said take mine for a ride ....

so he rode the harley and i rode the storm .... yup just like me ol duk .. nice and torky and linier performance

oh and thomo you riden a rocket ?????? ya move ya arse on them and ya change lane very well set up bike
