I've only now bothered to look into displaying the most recent post in a thread first.
This is especially handy when there's several pages to a post and you have to click on the last page to get the most recent post. By default the forum displays the posts in ascending order, ie oldest post first, but you can set it to default to newest first by setting it in your profile:
1) Click on "My Profile" at the top right of the forum window (just below the ads).
2) Click on "Edit Profile"
3) Scroll down to "Preferences" and set "Sort Posts" to "Newest First"
4) Then scroll down and click "Update Profile"
Done.
TBH it is harder to read through stuff that way.......Other forums I have been on allow you to go to the last post,if you've missed anything you can scroll back to the last post you read and then just read forward.
