Just noticed this week that on cold start up there is a noise coming out of or around the Cam cover area, it disappears after about 30secs, the engine seemed a lot quieter when the noise went, its not a knocking sound, in fact if the noise was there all the time I would of thought it was normal. I could be worrying about nothing as it may just be the oil shutting the engine up, hard to describe the sound.............little like a stuffed thrust bearing in a car but its not coming out of the primary so I doubt its the IPB.................anyone got any ideas................. 

Not sure if its a new noise kiwidave only really just noticed it, will get a few of the boys to have a listen over the weekend and see what they reckon..........................  

will check the exhaust scotty, I read somewhere about valve train noise and a mod you can do with the spring in the cam plate area(not sure) to raise the oil pressure, was this mod done because of noise in this area................??
