HI  Guys, Been reading posts about making  the SE on my Fatbob  just a little louder, I  dont want to change the pipes as i like the look,  I figure i have 3 options

1/I can replace the baffles the Big City Thunder ones,

2/I can drill out some holes, or

3/ i can adjust the tongue(ramp) Has anyone done 1 or 2 and what is thought to be best. . If i drill out holes how much bigger and how many and which rows front or rear?. If adjusting the tongue works do i  just open it up as in make it protrude into the inner of the baffle less(this might be able to be done easily with pipes on bike even.

    Thanks for the assistance

hi the cheapest way is to straighten out the tongue panel beat it with an inner round bar & heat & mig / tig weld the seam up, are they taper turbos or slash cut type ? dont drill more holes as this will make them more quiet but you need a section of holes at the end of the baffle as so the casses don't bank up & can excape . cheers ,who cares for the EPA ,

those are mine, they are photos of after market baffles, so the standards are left intaked incase I get pinged, just slip them back in

Yes they do make it louder, but not as loud as big radius, but I still undecidied about the sound

I also bypassed the valve and blocked the bypass pipe

4th option put a set of tapered turbo or slashcut muffs on.

As the Fatbob has a huge Cat' convertor in the merged section of pipe, just leave the baffle out.

They are not even close to being loud without the baffle in place.

I have the BCT baffles in my SE II's. Love the deep note they put out.
