Just looking for some positives and negatives for either filters K&N and Screaming Eagle, reason I ask is I have K&N fitted to the Ute but cant tell the difference between it and the standard filter, just seems to be more of a hassel cleaning the fuggin thing and forking out extra bucks buying the recharge kit. I realise they are supposed to filter more crap or do they ?? and do they have better air flowing characteristics ??.....................

 

If you google K&N you will see that they say to hardly ever clean the filter, they say only bother to clean it when you can no longer see the wire because of dirt build up. They will outlast the life of your bike and contrary to popular belief you do not oil them when they look dry, only when you need to clean them, which is hardly ever. Check the K&N site.
