ThunderCity baffles

I was looking to quiet down the Rineharts and also felt the quiet baffles sounded a bit tinny.

What the heck only another $130 US + post, lets try ThunderCity.    www.bigcitythunder.com

Now these blokes don't make a baffle to suit my 2 1/2 inch (2 3/8 ID) pipes but no less than 6 emails in each direction later they came up with plan of attack. Should mention I speak Oz and they talk US, if we both spoke english it would have been easier but they did not stop trying to help.

Now the plan involved fitting a 2 1/8 OD baffle into a 2 1/4 OD exhaust tube, perfect press fit and then some tricky stuff to make the pipe fit into my 2 inch ID end cap but I side stepped that and wacked the end caps in the lathe instead. Also drilled a few holes in the 2 1/4 tube to vent mosture build up, maybe slow down the rust.

The sound, WOW, Ok no quieter than what I had but, WOW, really deep, like maybe now it sounds like what two 48ci singles should sound like, WOW.

I have not heard there S/E II / S/E Street Performance baffle replacements but given the similar design to what I did there gotta be a good thing. For $170 US I would try em if I still had that set up.

I recall seening some YouTube videos of bikes fitted with the Big City Thunder baffles, you should take a look. I was looking at their baffles for the V&H Big Radius pipes and the vid that I found was a pretty good comparison with and without the BCT baffles.
