speaking of Shelley, whats the update Mick ?, how is she ? and whats happening with the bike ?

Shelley goes in Friday to have the unattached Cruciate ligament welded back on with superglue and spit and then they will suck some of the broken cartiledge out of her knee and maybe sew her up a bit, so she might be walking within the month yet, but we'll see how good the doc is I guess.
She says Hi and get a raw mullet up yers!!!!!!

I guess there are lots of Harleys in competition with it out there and not much money flowing!
Shelley is in good spirits and making small leaps of progress each day with her excercises and is happy with the slow progress.
Shell said her knee feels stronger, even though she can't use it, she reckons it doesn't collapse like before the operation.
The bike has been taken away from the Coast as Suncorp weren't happy with the quote.
It turns out both front forks are bent, so the bike musta hit something on its way down the road, they have taken it to a Harley repairer in Logan.
They reckon he is reputable and reliable repairer so I hope they are right.

Certain insurance companies write them off every accident due to the replacement parts value, being more than the value of the bike, but I think they have a sweetheart deal with the dealers or something.
I would just have it written off and get a new bike, but Shelley didn't want the stigma of fucking up two perfectly good bikes in under 12 months even though neither was her fault.
Little does she know, I won't be letting her keep it anyway.
I would prefer she has one that hasn't been sliding down the bitumen.
Once they are bingled, I don't like em anymore.
May be time for me to join the grannyglide brigade, although, Shelley hates em.

I think I did all right,  Paid $21,500 in june 09 and it only had 15000kms on it.

It has 25000 on it now and its been trouble free.

It was the cheapest around by a fair bit.

So I think I did ok.
