took air cleaner off, started bike when i twisted the throtle you could see a mist of fuel blowing back/out that might be normal i dont know.

took off float, float was moving freely took bike for 10 min run once again air cleaner cover and filter was wet with fuel
    Bike ran fine.
One more thing i quit school so im dumb what does reversion meen?

Hello Scotty,  Thanks for reply mate

Bike has done 9000KM i've had it for 5 months ( Second hand ).

Bike originaly came from Japan, Brought at Peter Steavens

Fare as Cams go they would be just normal i suppose.
      Changes in last couple weeks:

      • Been running bike without back cap wanted more noise
      • Originaly had 42 Low Jet. and 200 Main Jet.
      • Bike used to Hesitate, Stall, Back-fire and smell of fuel + was heavy on fuel
      • I spoke to forums Guys the reccomended which i done in the last week change the low jet to 45, Main jet to 180
      • Replaced back cap with an 1" 1/4 hole and that little screw for air and fuel mixture 2 1/4 turns out.
      • But have gained the problem of fuel spraying back into the air cleaner.
      • Tonight 17th June, I changed the main jet back to 200 but made no difference came back put it back to the 180 after a short ride
      • This is the first time i have a go at pulling the fuel bowl off. Float level seems free and normal to me. and that plunger that has the rubber boot on it lines up with hole.  Not much else to look at. at this stage i have give up ill have to take a trip down to the big smoke to see the professionals

    G'day FatboyGooch,
If you are still having trouble with your carby you perhaps need to see the Ballan Harley Doctor - Woody.
I have just had V&H 2into1's fitted with a large K&N airfilter installed on our 04 Softy' and Woody retuned the Carby, installed bigger jets and did some little magic mod' whereby the slide is lifted and some other techo' stuff happens. The thing absolutely flies now....highly recommended if you come up this way - nice ride in any case.

    Regards,

thanks for reply phantom59 . had cv carby serviced in geelong ,carby had  previously been modified by old owner. with thunder jet  set up . mechanic  did not like the aircleaner set  on bike . carby was still spraying small amount of fuel back into airfilter. i was over it . sold carby and aircleaner on ebay . had a mikini easy kit installed . same amount of power . dont have  anymore poping, missing, stalling, backfiring, been an expensive project, but long as i get  a good run now ,i will be happy. thanks again.
