Can someone put me onto a place in Adelaide (North Side if possible) that can take out scratches in chrome.  I took of the Saddle bags of the Heritage and the rear struts have scratches on them from the sissy bar mount.  Would they come out with a buffing wheel or will they need to be re chromed??

Sometimes a good polish with a wheel will minimise the effect of the scratches but more than likely you will have to get it re-chromed. Be prepared to spend some money because the old chrome has to be stripped off before the re-plating process can commence.

Their is always rear struts on ebay, that might be the cheapest way.....
I'm sure their will be plenty here say powder coat it though, but stay strong stick with the chrome.....

Rechroming will be required if your looking for an original or close to original finish.

Once chrome is scratch you will not get rid of it because the base coat (Nickle) will be damaged under the scratch.

Buffing will only give you thinner chrome and swirl marks that will stand out in the sun.

I contacted Greg at aclassmetal some time ago and he seemed to know what he was talking about, if my memory serves me right this guy make wheels for our bikes and shippes them off to HD.
