As the title says, WTF is electrical contact lubricant?  I was going to use vasaline on the battery terminals, alarm etc, but the manual says use electrical contact lubricant....  I went to Supercheap (cow wouldn't get off her arse anyway), Autobarn and Dick Smith and they haven't even heard of it.

Is there a substitute...just as good?

A big thumbsup guys.  I'll head down the street in the morning and see which one looks best for what I need.

Dow Corning makes an item just called Silicon Grease which is probably cheaper and does exactly what those others will do. The main thing is is will not break down and short out if water hits it. It won't attract dirt either.
