Hot Pipes!

Well the Deuce is here and its the love of my life but the exhaust pipes are very unforgiving as i found out the first time i wore my Dririder Rallycross Evo's ... they are fairly flaired at the bottom to allow high boots to be worn underneath but as a consequence they rub against the pipes when stationary or manoevering into a parking spot etc.... End result is severe burning and several holes on their maiden journey.... LOL I'm not sure if it's worth getting a heat proof panel sown onto the lower section or look for something a little more tolerant to the occasional brush with hot pipes. Anyone suggest or recommend something which they have found to do the job?

    Cheers Graeme

Its mandatory to have calf burns, burnt boots, pants etc  when owning a Harley.

    You will learn eventually

Black exhaust/header wrapping held in place with metal tie (like the exhaust ties which hold one heat covers) with a screw to tighten the bracket.

Wrap it around the hot pipe with a third overlap only.
