Thanks Dave. Good to hear your good opinion of Paugcho frames. It seems it could be the simplest and most cost effective route for me to take.

I'm after a 'tight' rigid (engine fitting snugly in the frame with very little space around it, with 40 degrees of rake. Paugcho fit the bill. With it I think I can also keep the belt drive. I was just a bit concerned about quality as I'd read mixed reviews about them: the standard of their welding in particular.

I had originally wanted to use a "Hard Times" frame from Carolina Customs

but they only come with a 33 degree rake. I am going to contact them again to see if they'll make one with 38-40 degrees. It'd be perfect as it allows me to use most of the stock sporty on it. Although I'm not sure about whether I could keep the belt. I'd have to check.

I was talking to an RTA approved engineer here in Sydney about chops and he told me that an aftermarket frame from a licenced manufacturer with the necessary paperwork would be the most trouble-free and least expensive way to get a chopper certified, then registered here.

I guess a  qualified  Aussie frame maker who charged at a competitive rate would be the ideal.

I'll continue to look into it.

    Thanks again for your help.
