Hi Finny, try Handy Andy (Powder) with a stiff scrubbing brush.....works wonders.....I jack the old girl up and it's a breeze, at the same time I use the Californian Purple polish on the wheels........maaaggic...better than new....make sure that you dry around the rim, otherwise it will streak............

Try degreaser , I used to use the pink stuff on my whitewalls , scrubed them with a toilet brush (right length and shape) and they looked bright for a couple of weeks

I got them and yes I use jiff and a plastic brush and I changed the breakpads to some harder once leaves less of a mark on the whitewalls after a few rides.

forget about elbow grease my friends .. courtesy of scotty last year i got a set of Lindall brake pads reputedly that left no brake dust.  I just went 12,000 k's on my Metzler ww without ever feeling the need to clean !  you crazy not to change to these in future if you like your ww's
