Staggered is the HOG style, don't mind this on the open road but in traffic I like to use the whole road at will and not have to worry about cutting another rider off etc.

a good riding formation is like poetry in motion...staggered on straights and in line through corners....great to see...even better when you are part of it...

 

I like to be on the left in staggered formation, only because I am lazy and dont want to move left when trucks come, riders in front of me that do move over usually only come 2/3rd's across, generally with a second in front as we ride using the 2 second timing.

In a group ride I tend to keep to whatever track I'm on...Inside, outside or centre....and indicate with indicators or by hand when altering course.....

But most importantly I keep a check of everything going on around me, front back or side.....

i like to ride all over the place hate staying in the same spot

You can ride in any formation you like, I always ride at the back, the safest place to be.....

I think stagerd is best in a big group ......

and always stay back from the bike in front in other wheel track .....

leave them room to manouver
