What ever tickles ya fancy I guess. I prefer trackies under pants to long JOhns plus I dont feel as old lol. Leather Jacket not much else ya can do really! Have a set of wet weathers strapped somewhere. Good Gloves. Common sense really. The cold doesnt bother you if you prepare before you leave in it, it only sux when your out in a tshirt and get caught in a hail storm lol.

If all that fails, nearest pub Porterhouse steak with a smokin hot pepper sauce :)

Paul, I just got some Draggin jeans. one thing for sure I won't be wearer them in summer! They keep your legs nice and warm, not sure what they are like if they get wet (got a $40 pair of wet pants to cover them). I've also got a fleece lined face mask from http://www.bikermask.com/ so much better than neoprene, but fucked if it rains. For ya hands just got a new set of full length HD gloves, waterproof and fleecy lined although got stung $130 for em.

    Paul,
I wear Thomas Cook thermal lined jeans, Jett heated vest under my leathers and if it's pissin down a Driza Bone. Apart from the usual gloves and face mask etc.
The thermal jeans are brilliant, your legs stay dry even if the jeans are wet. The heated vest keeps my back very warm and you get about 8 hours out of the rechargable battery.
    Hope this helps.

    Paul,
I got the jeans and vest at a store in Ballarat. Unfortunatly their no longer in business.
Have a look at these sites

    http://www.thomascookclothing.com.au/index.wsc/index?page=home

    and

    http://www.jett.us.com/index.htm

I think they have a list of stockists.
The vest is bloody brilliant. I have a dodgy back which limits my riding to some degree and the vest helps me.
I can't remember what I paid for them but it couldn't of been too much being a tight fisted prick that I am.
    Regards
    Curly

    hello ......

Is this the ullysis forum i have stumbled onto ????????

all ya need do is go to target get a long pair of thermal pants and short top ......

with that a pair of jeans t shirt  and a hooded jumper under my jacket and vest i am warm ......

I also wear explorer socks dririder gloves and a neck warmer and that is it .....

them heated vest's are not a good idea .... but that is just my personal opinion ....

as long as hand feet and head are warm you shoulb be fine .......

the problem with to much heat it can cause you to become tierd and lose concentration ....... but that once again is my personal opinion ....

oh and a driza or any oil skin jacket and oilskin pants are great ......

becarful of the dririder pants they will melt to your pipes.....

MCAS at liverpool paid to have my heat sheilds recromed after my pants melted to em after i specificly asked would this hapen and was told no....

and enjoy your rides in the winter .......

anyone going to the kings rally at canyon leigh this year ...... i am :D

Lots of good ideas. Can i say the cheapest and most effective single piece of clothing i have is the Dririder neck warmer ... stopping cold air blasting down my chest and back makes a huge difference for me.
