Got my set for my sporty in the post yesterday, after a long day at work I wasn't intending to fit them when I got home...... but started looking at this thread... Thennnnn looking at the bike, next thing I had the Torx screwdriver out undoing the switch casings hahaha
All in all job took about 3/4 of an hr, plus another 10 mins adjusting the throttle cables nice and taught... and I'm no mechanic so just letting you know it isn't too tricky if you have a couple of spanners and a Torx screwdriver.
I'd personally recommend doing the throttle side 1st so when its in the rest position you can match up the brake side with it so they look nice and straight. Also just back the throttle cables right off, no point in making your life hard....it makes them easy to take out of the original grip then re-fit in the new grip.. And as above careful of the bloody ferrules! Adjusting back to correct hrottle play also wasn't to difficult... surprisingly.
Took the bike for a spin earlier to check all was good, and they are as good as I expected.. Highly recommend over the stock grips, and not to hard to fit either.
