OK, just finished changing the front and back fluid and all is fine except that the front brake lever seems to have a little more travel than before.  So i am wondering if any of you twin cam 88 owners could be bothered measuring the front lever travel for me?? How far does the lever travel when pulled hard in ??? I asked a mate but his 96 twin cam is completely different in travel to mine.

Sounds like you may have some air in the front brake. As for travel it depends upon model year, twin or single disc, braided steel or standard brake lines and believe it or not fluid level (I know there are riders out there who do not check and replace their brake fluid). As for the model year, brake components do degrade over time.

Single disc 06 softail standard, standard everything. I am just trying to get an idea before I bother opening it up again. The front master cylinder is a pain in the arse on harleys, my Kwaka Z1000 is a breeze to bleed, and the master cylinder does'nt leak either.
