Welcome from melb........ Nice pick , the SOFTAIL
Stay up right
Thanks guys for the warm welcome. I don't know how long it will take to receive my bike,as i cannot order it for another 4 weeks until i am financial. Its funny every time i go into frasers in morely,i cannot find a salesman as there all to busy,so i might have to try elsewhere as i cannot even get a reply to my e-mail. Anyway looking forward to when i do get it,that's the main thing. Cheers
Give the guys at SW a call in Bunbury....
Hi travelling2008.....dont worry about those salesman at frasers,i got the same treatment............ask for Darryle he's the manager ....have a whinge he will help ya.
Hi Travelling2008, welcome to the forum.
When I ordered my bike I dealt with Graham (skinny bloke with pommy accent). Can't say a bad word about him - looked after me OK
It seems to me that there are only 2 dealers on the HD side and they simply can not cope with the orders.
Several days ago I went for a ride and while having a coffe in Leederville I struck up a conversation with an American bloke who lives here in Perth. He was faced with the same problem as you, could not get the bike he wanted. They told him to wait for 4 - 5 months for the delivery.
He went to Sydney, walked into the dealership there and there were 5 bikes of the model he wanted. It took less than a week for the bike to be here in Perth and it only cost him $260 for the shipment. Maybe that's the way to go for you?
Apparently Perth Frasers are overloaded with orders because of our minig boom, people have shit load of money and they want to spend.
Anyway stay safe and see you on a ride or two when you get your toy
Hi Guys and gals and again thanks for the great welcome. It is funny i contacted Frasers on Friday and they have told me six months wait for my FLSTN,that is by email of course,as i have been in there a few times now and can never get a salesman.
But i have thought of buying east or from the guys down south,in fact i meant to ring the guys at south west Harley and the one in Bunbury but just ran out of time today. Its amazing it takes so long to receive one,but i guess the boom is giving heaps of peoples money to buy ther toys, not that it is for me. I realy dont think there is much difference in pricing if i buy from the east, but the main thing i want is me new FLSTN! Just looks like i will be riding the Bonneville a little longer until i receive my new pride and joy. But what is the saying of those whom wait? Cheers to all for the good and welcoming advice.
G'Day from the Top End NT. Enjoy the ride.
