    Hey MJ,
Picked up a set of V&H short shots in US eBay for $US25 + $65 postage, this is when our dollar was 92 cents to their $1.
Not a mark on them, brackets and fittings included, value for money? I'm laughing mate.
Mind you it was 2 months of searching and waiting for a bargain, but like Kiwidave, I'm a tightass from way back.

ok don say for argument sake not all ppl have the time to do this you would be happy to pay 1200 bucks for the name on the pipes .......

i think they are over priced and know they dont perform as well ......

    as say sampson .......

    No MJ,
    Wouldn't pay 1200 for any pipes , No1 don't have the bucks, No2 I just wouldn't.
I'd make something to fit, as long as the bike was ridable. Most of the mods on my current bike
are under the skin, Mind you, if it makes it look good so much the better. When I rebuilt the motor
I had the bottom end done by one of OZ's best, as I didn't have the heavy presses required ( he also
honed the cylinders and matched the pistons to them). Everything else I did myself. Took 8 months.
When assembling everything on the kitchen table (and yes, she's still married to me) everything was blueprinted.
I suppose that when I started riding a Harley all the bits and pieces available now did not exist.
Bringing stuff from the States or making your own were the only options, and old habits die hard.
    regards,
    Cris
