Thats actually an excellent idea but will the cops still test your bike with the valve open just to fuck you up?

I just noticed these and this thread...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HakuSbfrYCs Gay ad, but gets the message across...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Twn0ICmliVQ Video 'tip' spruiking the slips on, and gives a demo.

I wonder too on how the change would effect the ride... and at $695US for slip-ons, these things aren't by any means cheap.

Love the idea, lets hope its taken up and made more competitive.

Question to the experienced guys... just on switching slip-ons back to stock: I found they were really really stiff to get off and took a f*ckload of effort. Should WD be your friend and maybe a running the bike for a few seconds to get a little heat in them?

When I got defected on the Softail I didn't have any problems changing the mufflers over. Mind you it was 38degrees in the shed. Slip the old mufflers on, pay the RT man to remove the yellow slip, go home and change them back. The bloke I had was sympathetic about the pipes but said it's no use complaining to him, we have to tell it to the pollies,,,,,,, yeah right!!! The RT bloke said to me after I had paid and we had a good chat about Harleys, "I suppose you will be going home and changing the mufflers back on your bike?"

I work in the building industry .at the end of the job they pay people to find defects. they don't find faults they don't have a job. You give these people a hard time during construction , you have the most defects, Traffic police can only justify their existence if they do the same thing. You find an arsehole you'll get defected on reflector angles.
