Can someone tell me if I can keep my mid controls when installing short shots,or do I have to wack on foward controls?

Don't see why you would have to loose the mid controls ... on their website it states they fit all 06-09 Dyna's. If you look at "Big Shots" on their site, they have a picture with them installed with mid controls. "Short Shots" are just a shorter version of the "BIg Shots".
