Does anyone else think their bike runs noisier running Mobil1 v twin or is it just me ?? Seems like there is a lot more rocker or chain noise, mainly at cold start ups.

Update - I have been on the American forum and it seems that it is pretty common. Go figure ??

Sounds about right HogBag, I thought I was imagining the noise but I read that it is common with Mobil V Twin, flows better but it can be a bit noisy in the top end. Once my bike is warm I still think it is quieter than with the original Harley stuff.

I just put Mobil 1 in both bikes in all holes and I reckon they are both heaps quieter than Syn3.
But I am deaf as a fucking post too.

Did you put V Twin in the Box ?? If so, how does it feel.

I have only done probably 4000 klm since I changed over, it seems Fine. I was using syn 3 in all holes and it was good but the Mobil1, I reckon everything is quieter but my hearing is probably a bit suspect My tinnatus (ringing in the ears) mostly to blame.

I had some top-end noise running standard HD oil. Figured it was one lifter. Put synthetic in and the noise stopped. I'm running Mobil 1. Can't say as I've noticed any extra noises.

I also have tinnitus. And a missus. But I had both of them before I had the top end noise.
