Interesting, Shannons was the best quote for me in Perth - half the price of Swann.
that's the norm I guess asking the correct Q's is the trick with these funny buggers !
the key items are:
commute or not; no claim bonus;
I am with WQBE... Shannons would not cover because I commute sometimes. WQBE claim they will match any other quote as do Swann.
Don't get me started on QBE

Ah I think I see the problem, my bike is only insured for $20k not $30k+ so maybe that explains the difference in results.
I had the same problem with Shannons, as I use mine to ride to work.The moment I told the guy from Shannons that stated they could not cover me. They must see a risk in having the bikes parked outside workplaces. He was honest about it though, asked who I was currently insured with and said they were on par with them.
I have a garage for my bike at work so that took the parking issue out of the equation. Fuck leaving my bike in the sun all day!
