I know my bike is only a couple of weeks old but the stock seat is damn ugly.

I just purchased a C & C seat through Parts Pro. (Still in Transit)
Done alot of research into seats & posted threads on HD Forums (US site) and feedback on these seats were all the same response- a look good seat that you could easily do 500km + on & they custom make to your requirements. Only downside is they are fairly pricey.
So this is the design they came back with, I love it and am going ahead, the dark band at the back is shark leather, the cross stitching is kangaroo and the rest is some embroidery, should look the nuts when it's done. This is just the pencil sketch:
So just had a photo through from Danny Grey, the seat has been done and should ship today or tomorrow, the flash will have really brought the red out, can't wait to see it on the bike:

nice seat there...just a question ...does the danny grey seat you have on your rocker sit you further back from the foot controls with the change over from the rocker c seat ? or is it still the same reach just with a new lower sitting position...i want to get one for my rocker ..but i only just raech the foot controls now as it is...? love what you have done with your rocker to date on your blog...great job...looks hot...

$100.00US delivery seems high??? I just had a Badlander delivered for 52....
yeh ..cant wait for it to be delivered and fit it up ..they are the best looking & cheapest seat option for replacing the rocker seat...Imo....as far as high delivery cost goes...I have purchased 3 seats for my Harleys in the last 12 months from the states and they were all around the $100us delivered... so the delivery cost is about normal for this custom danny grey seat..its still big bucks under its normal price...will post pix after its been fitted...
I bought a Danny Gray 2up seat and it is great. I have done an 800km weekend away with the missus on the back and we could have kept going. Not bad for a seat that looks shit hot on the bike and is still comfortable. The only thing i have noticed is the leather top surface has now got a few wrinkles in it, i don't know if thats normal for leather because all my previous seats have been vinyl, other than that there are no complaints. I still have the seat in the photo (which was upholstered by John Moorehouse and is more comfortable) but i don't know if i will have to use it again.
Well the Danny grey seat turned up today....fitted up beautifully & has really transformed the look & the comfort of the bike a lot...not to mention the lower riding position...feels great...very happy with this new custom seat....
yeh....they never bothered me befoer..but now with it's new look they do look out of place .....there gone first job in the morning...
Hey Peter, don't want to appear dumb, but is this installed on a rocker or another softail?? Am in the Middle East and looking for second seat options for the missus. Cheers

This isn't dried out or cracked, it started doing it from the 2nd day I owned it, I took it to an upholsterer and he asked me what i was worrying about so i assume it's normal and I'm paranoid.
