I had a close call with a boomer on the road outside of Lake Clifton a few weeks back and it scared me more than a chinese volvo driver at night.

I then got a call from a mate that was heading home to Yearlering last week and he told me he had hit an emu - actually the emu ran into him from the side, smashed his knee and fucked him up. The emu ripped his own fucking head off in the process (Stupid fucking emu's should drive volvos).

Anyway my mate managed to stay upright and stopped on the side of the road and waited for his lovely wife to catch up (she was a few miles behind in the Patrol with the kids). It now appears he is up for a knee reconstruction which is obviously a serious situation but far less serious than it could have been.

Just thought I'd share this as it seems relavent when we all cruise around this wide brown land and come across all the various critters along the way. Has anyone else here made an impact on the wildlife?
