im runing an avon gripmaster m24  90 90 21 that came with the bike. the problem is it looks like the tyre is on the wrong way,  the arrow on the side wall is right but the tread pattern looks back to front....wtf.. will get a pic up here soon, has any one eles got this tyre on?

I have Avon w/w's on my Heritage and yes the tread does look odd, but very happy with the grip so far.....

Many years ago i used to work for a tyre comp, and from what i can remember is that the arrows are to follow the tread patter'n

But these days anything could happen............what does it handle like ......in the wet........

havernt riden it much in the wet yet,.
i looked it up and it looks like it made for endruo bikes...lol

Mate i had 1 that looked simular on my roadking , i think it's right.............Pop in to your local tyre cnt and i reckon they'll explain it to you

thanks finny, the two i did go to tried to sell me dunlop 404's...one said they are good lastig but bad handling in the wet????

Same prob here Ratsmow. Have a look at the pic. Both have the arrow correct on the sidewall, both original but one is an 08 and the other an 09 Rocker. Go figure!!!

Theres only one thing to do, take them out in the rain and whoever falls off first has the tyre on the wrong way.

ok , i went to the tyre shop and he reckons its right, something to do with opposite back tyre pattern, i still not convinced, even though there were at least 6 bikes there with the same deal with the tread pattern(differant tyres)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... ) All I would suggest there is that, in a convertable car with the roof down, your hair (if you've still got hair!) gets blown forward from the back.  However, if you got rid of the windscreen I doubt that fact would remain the same!

I'd go for the one on the left.

I wonder if thats why when I went to Morgan & Wackers in brisbane they told me that they could not get 407 front tyres in Australia at the moment, and when I rang the sunshine coast they had the same story ??
